A device is described which makes it possible to conduct thorough analyses of finger and hand motions in braille reading. The apparatus records movements in relation to detailed features on the text from below translucent surfaces, synchronously with voice output and cumulative real (1/100sec) time. The apparatus makes it feasible to analyse the timing and position of finger motions of the 2 hands in connection with very small details of the text in continuous prose reading. It has a major application as a didactic aid in training courses for teachers, and in analysing and correcting braille reading issues.
